Kashmiri Kahwa Recipe


  • Water – 4 cup

  • Green elachi – 4-5

  • Laung – 4

  • Dalchini – 1 stick

  • Kashmiri Kahwa leaves – 2 tsp

  • Kesar – as per taste

  • Badam – 2-4 chopped

  • Pista – as per taste

  • Honey or Sugar (as per choice)


  • Bring 4 cups of water to a gentle boil.

  • Add the green elachi, laung, and dalchini to the boiling water.

  • Keep the flame on simmer while the spices infuse the colour.

  • Keep flame on low after 5 minutes and add the Kashmiri Kahwa leaves in the mixture.

  • Keep boiling it for another 2-3 minutes.

  • Now add a pinch of kesar. This will impart a lovely color and aroma to the Kashmiri Kahwa.

  • After a minute, strain the tea into serving cups.

  • Garnish Kashmiri Kahwa with a sprinkle of badam and pista.

  • Add honey or sugar to taste as per choice.
